Software Description

TriTag helps you to get a clear MP3 collection by either creating a new filename out of the ID3Tag or filling the metatags using the information found in the filename using a user defined pattern - easy due to a pattern builder.
The first mode also allows to create a unique directory structure (artist/album/) similar to the one generated by iTunes "Consolidate library".

New in v0.8

  • ADDED: Multiple row editing now works like iTunes
  • ADDED: Auto track numbers
  • ADDED: Filename sorted
  • FIXED: Always UTF16BE encoding - Latin1 causes some trouble

TriTag v0.8 works for iTunes Internet Radio

PROBLEM
I record Radio from iTunes using StreamRipper, usually I let the radio run over night.
But the order of the songs became messy, not nice when they sometimes fade into eachother.

SOLUTION
I checked to add a sequence number to the file name in StreamRipper in the Download tab.
After getting all the mp3 files, I used TriTag v0.8 to split the file name into ID3 tags.
I used the following folename pattern:
%n_%a - %s
I then dragged all the files to iTunes.

DID IT WORK?
Yes. So nice!
